Les oursons
Fun French lessons for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
What do we offer?

Les Oursons offer interactive French language classes in South east London for children 0 to 5 years old. Our lessons are both in person and online.
Our highly stimulating classes consisting of puppetry, singing, live music, action songs, rhymes and movement to assist with your child's development.
Most importantly, they are a lot of fun for both adults and children alike!
How do we organise our class?
The class goes on for 40 minutes. Each session start and finish in the same way to ensure children remember the vocabulary. The middle part of the session change every week with a wide range of new vocabulary to explore.
Why choose us?
From an early age, young children are uniquely suited to learn several languages as the brain is in its most flexible stage. They can learn a second language as easy as they learned to walk and learn their primary language. As adults, we have to consider grammar rules and practice, but young children absorb sounds, structures, intonation patterns and the rules of a second language very easily.
By joining les Oursons, French classes are taught by native French teacher, specialized in early years. We follow a curriculum specially designed to entertain young children and help them absorb some vocabulary trough songs, puppetry, stories and games. The structure of our lessons always remains the same. It is important for your children to follow a routine, it give them a sense of security and help them to learn trough repetition.
What if we already speak French at home?
That’s great! We meet many bilingual families in our classes. Many children only get the opportunity to use French at home, so our classes allow children to use their second language in a different context. Our goal is to provide a space to meet other bilingual families, to socialise in French and have fun with the language.
What if my child speak only English?
That doesn’t matter! It’s all about having fun. Our children are too busy enjoying themselves to realise that they are using new vocabulary. At the end of each class, they leave feeling proud of themselves for learning something new.
